I'm a bilingual creative generalist based in Budapest. As a native Hungarian and English speaker, I was able to naturally translate between the two languages since childhood. My bilingual upbringing shaped how I work more than any single skill did: I learned early that meaning doesn't survive a straight translation, neither in language or in design. During highschool, I specialised in EU Studies, studying the history, governance, and principles of the European Union in both English and French.
My passion for visual design and storytelling started when I was still a student at Eötvös Loránd University, specialising in Japanese and Korean language, history, literature, and culture. Japanese Studies had me reading meaning into things that aren't obvious on the surface, studying how symbols carry meaning across cultures before I ever thought about how a brand logo does. This interest has led me to write my undergraduate thesis examining Japanese mythological figures in the light of C. G. Jung's archetype theory.
During that time, I also produced and edited creative video content for YouTube as a hobby, teaching myself through practice, which resulted in my channel growing to over 2,000 subscribers. This experience gave me a practical understanding of what engages audiences on digital platforms, learning how pacing, visuals, and tone work together to hold attention. I've since worked across brand identity, copywriting, video editing, and webdesign for clients, developing hands-on experience producing visual content across a range of formats and channels. Across my freelance work, I have consistently produced and localised written content, from website copy and newsletters to client correspondence and in-application interface text.
I'm drawn to projects where trust matters: brands or institutions that provide value, not just selling something. Brand identity is like world-building to me, and that is what I enjoy about it. Since most of what I design doesn't exist yet, my job starts with imagining what it would look like if it did: how it looks, how it sounds, and how it behaves. Outside client work, I make videos, take photos, and write. I am also developing a longer-term creative project of my own: grounded in themes such as degrowth and democratic accountability, trying to figure out how to make such abstract political ideas feel human. I hope my professional work can eventually be in service of such projects in the future.
